Led Zeppelin were a British rock band who formed in 1968. Led Zeppelin consisted of Jimmy Page , Robert Plant , John Bonham , and John Paul Jones . With their heavy, guitar-driven sound, Led Zeppelin are regarded as one of the first heavy metal bands.
